Deborah Conn
works primarily in watercolor but has been exploring collage and drawing as well. Her favorite subjects are people. "I like the stories people tell without saying a word," she explains, "with only a gesture or a fleeting facial expression."
Deborah’s paintings have been shown at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, Strathmore Hall in Rockville, the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center, and many other venues in the Washington metropolitan area. In addition to the Loft, she is an exhibiting artist at Stifel & Capra in Falls Church and a member of the Bin Gallery at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria. Awards include Honorable Mentions in the Vienna Arts Society Treasury of Art Show 2009, Potomac Valley Watercolorists 35th Anniversary Show 2009, and MPSGS International Miniature Exhibition, 2008; 1st place, League of Reston Artists Juried Exhibition, 2006; Best in Show, Falls Church Community Show, 2007 and 2006. Deborah is a signature member of the Potomac Valley Watercolorists and the Baltimore Watercolor Society. She is an Artist Member of the Virginia Watercolor Society and belongs to the Art League of Alexandria, Vienna Arts Society, Falls Church Arts, and the Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers Society of Washington, DC.
