JAN
E. MOFFATT - paints moods and memories—places in time. Of her work she says, “My favorite method of painting is to revisit places I have been with my mind’s eye and create from my imagination. Using my inner visions as my only source material, I let the paintings lead me. The paintings are daydreams, imaginings, meditations of places remembered or dreamt. I fall more in love with painting everyday”
Her lifelong passion for nature and painting began at an early age.
Growing up in Connecticut, she explored the coastal wetlands and beaches of her hometown. She is in love with landscape, from meandering water with reflected skies to the wild timeless beauty of Ireland to the sensual dance of an abundant garden. She has painted in Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, and Italy.
