Lydia Jechorek has been a resident of Northern Virginia since 1980. She began oil painting in her early teens. After graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a minor in fine art, she volunteered to create a program and teach painting to senior citizens in the Michigan community where she grew up. Lydia’s career with the FBI left her little time for oil painting.
After at 25 year hiatus, Lydia rediscovered the joy of painting when she retired. Lydia has taken classes from a number of very talented local artists. She enjoys painting urban and rural landscapes and people doing ordinary things.
Member of the Springfield Art Guild. Participated in numerous art shows in Northern Virginia. Loft Gallery member since April 2008.
