Lori Welch Brown is a mixed media abstract artist who enjoys working in collage, charcoal,
acrylics, and pastel. Her belief is that “life is better with color,” especially blue. Whether it’s a
calming Carolina sky blue, an energizing teal, or a relaxing turquoise, Lori is drawn to its range and
depth especially as it relates to emotion, mood, aesthetics, as well as its colorful history. In this
exhibit, she explores her favorite hue by showcasing it’s versatility as a bold presence, a muted
backstory, and a not-so-subtle hero.
