About the Artist: Richard Moore is very blessed to be working in the art field spanning over 40 years beginning in high school while attending the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts scholarship program. His formal training continued through college in the graphic and fine art fields that eventually led Richard to start his own graphic design business in 1992. Years later he transitioned to working exclusively in fine arts specializing in painting with oils on canvas. His creative art process starts with his Christian faith that compels Richard to bring forth artwork that magnifies and showcases the grandeur of creation through his landscape paintings. Recently, Richard enjoys creating large cloudscapes in his newly expanded Alexandria studio, and collaborating with customers to produce their one-of-a-kind commissioned work.

In addition to being a member of The Loft Gallery in historic Occoquan Virginia, many of Richard’s paintings have been juried, selected and exhibited at the Art League Gallery (Torpedo Factory) in Alexandria, Virginia. On a personal note, Richard wants to live out the gift of his Christian faith by coming along side and helping others in his community. His wife Stacey of 35 years, also shares in that joy! Richard is a father of 2, grandfather of two boys, and enjoys long walks and hiking trips.
