The Loft Gallery is pleased to announce the exhibition of new works featuring acrylic painting artist Chong Teasley and glass artwork by Maureen Storey.
About the Artists: Chong Teasley uses acrylics to create detailed paintings and bring realism to her works including flowers, fruit, people, and animals. Beautiful things inspire her to paint so that she can capture them forever. She studied art at private art institutes in Korea and at several local art studios and continues pursuing her passion for painting. She has had works in juried art shows and won the Manassas Best of Region honorable mention and People’s Choice awards and has exhibited paintings in other local venues. Chong is a member of the Springfield Art Guild and The Loft Gallery of Occoquan. In this exhibit you will find beautiful still life paintings, animals and countryside scenery captured on canvas.
Maureen Storey is a fused and stained-glass artist. Maureen was a nutrition scientist who enjoyed a 35+ career in the food industry. Upon retirement from her first career, Maureen undertook an encore career creating fused (kiln-formed) glass artwork and then branching out to create stained glass panels and window-hanging figures. She solely owns storeyweaver designs in glass, LLC www.storeyweaverdesignsinglass.com. Maureen was 2019 president of the National Capital Art Glass Guild and remains a member of this organization.
