Artist Marisela Rumberg reveals nature’s fingerprints in silk, cotton, wool and paper through Eco-Printing and Rust Dyeing – sophisticated techniques in which fibers are stained with real leaves, flowers and rusted found objects. These techniques require painstaking perseverance, inspiration and serendipity to discover which plants combine with which natural elements to produce works of fiber art.  Using only natural dyes, each art quilt, silk scarf and framed work is an alchemy of color and texture as unique as a human fingerprint.
